Eyebrow tinting

Is it possible to dye eyebrows after permanent makeup and how to do it correctly?

Permanent makeup is luminous in itself. But sometimes it is necessary to dye the eyebrows. With the help of dye, it is easy to correct the shape of the eyebrows, hide imperfections, renew the faded pigment.

Then flakes of crusts appear, covering the wounds. At this time, the eyebrows look unsightly, and the color itself becomes dull. Do not peel off or wet the scabs. So you can carry an infection and then the healing process will go on indefinitely.

In addition, there is a coloring pigment under the scab, which can be accidentally removed. As a result, bald spots of color can form and this is an additional correction.

During this healing period, you want to make your makeup look brighter and your appearance more expressive. But many are afraid of dyeing their brows after permanent makeup, and for good reason. The fact is that the paint affects not only the hair, but also the skin.It may not be as aggressive as hair dye, but for the still damaged dermis, this is a serious test. As a result, the protective scabs can be damaged and an allergic reaction can occur in the form of a rash, redness, or swelling.

Therefore, for the first two weeks, experts categorically prohibit dyeing eyebrows. After that, the use of a cosmetic pencil is allowed, but very carefully. Make-up must be removed with special oil-based products. It is allowed to use eyebrow dye, including natural henna or basma, only 3-4 weeks after the tattoo procedure, as soon as the skin is completely healed. This is usually not necessary as permanent makeup is brilliant on its own.

However, the masters identify the following cases when eyebrow tinting is required:

  • correction, hiding bald spots of color, hair loss;
  • superimposed color, for example, on a darker one;
  • change the shape of the eyebrow to adapt to fashion trends;
  • asymmetry of the eyebrow arches;
  • grey hair;
  • lack of a bright background, as the pigment fades over time.

Usually the eyebrows are colored twice a month, as the pigment contains natural ingredients and disappears faster. But in the case of permanent makeup, experts recommend carrying out the coloring procedure no more than once a month. This is due to the condition of the skin of the eyebrows. It is more sensitive, there are a lot of blood vessels passing through it. And any paint has an effect on the dermis. When abused, various allergic reactions, peeling, hair loss are possible.

Can henna be used and why?

Unlike ready-made professional products, henna is a completely natural dye. It not only gives color, but also takes care. Its shade, grind and even smell depend on the variety and the country of origin. It is brought to Russia from Egypt, India, Iran and Pakistan. Henna can be used after 14 days. Again, drawing on the look of the browbones. They are not completely healed yet, there are protective scales. Therefore, the dye must be used very carefully and applied with a soft brush.

It is best to dilute henna to a minimal concentration. This will reduce the risk of irritation and swelling. If the skin already has redness, inflammation or other problems that require special care and treatment, it is best to refuse the staining procedure.

How to properly dye the eyebrows after the tattoo?

It is allowed to use a cosmetic pencil as early as 2 weeks after the permanent makeup procedure, but very carefully. This dye does not penetrate the dermis and does not irritate it, so it is safe. Removing makeup can damage the scab. As soon as the skin is completely healed after the perm, which is 3-4 weeks, it is permissible to use a professional eyebrow dye. The shade should be selected as suitable as possible, for the first coloring, choose an oxide of 3%, for the next – 6%. If the eyebrows are corrected with tweezers, postpone the coloring by 1-2 days. The fact is that a micro-wound is formed at the site of the torn hair, which should have time to heal. If the paint gets into it, allergic rashes, swelling and even inflammation are possible.

The product is diluted in a separate container and then applied to the eyebrows with a brush. In order not to accidentally stain the eyelids and forehead, the areas must be previously lubricated with a greasy cream. Keep the paint strictly according to the instructions, usually 5-15 minutes. Overexposure is not recommended, as it negatively affects the condition of the skin and hair. If the eyebrow has darkened sharply, it is recommended to immediately wash off the paint with soap.

It is imperative to remember the care, to use means to accelerate growth and nutrition. They are usually clear, gel or oily in consistency and are easy to apply with an eyelash brush.
